Chickadee (she was named Rachel before we adopted her) is the sweetest little baby! She has always been my shadow and follows me everywhere.
My nephews come to our home often, and Chickadee just loves on them and they love her. Before we brought home Chickadee, my nephews’ family dog had recently been attacked by a larger dog of a neighbor and didn’t make it, and the boys were afraid of all dogs, until they met Chickadee and they were ready for a new puppy soon thereafter.
Chickadee is a very loving dog, and thinks everyone is a friend. When we first brought her home, our older dog (bichon frise) was not really happy about it, but now they are besties. It’s like Chickadee brought out this renewed youth in my (at the time) 13 year old girl.
If I’m not home, and I call my husband, I can hear her get really excited through the phone just when I call. My husband tells me that she sits by the window and waits for me the whole time I’m gone.
She loves going to the vet and the groomer, and they love her, as well!
She loves to play, loves to people watch. It’s very easy to get her in the mood for zoomies. She has lots of toys and loves to play with ALL of them. She’s started putting them away on her own. She LOVES going for car rides and she is a fantastic passenger!
Choosing Chickadee was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made, and working with Operation Saves was a wonderful experience, especially because it was my first time working with any rescue, ever, and I would choose to work with you over and over again! I recommend your rescue to everyone looking for a dog!
