Small Animal Update

In the last 3 weeks we have taken into our program a large influx of small animals. These consist of 6 rabbits (one of which we paid for a entire leg amputation due to a injury) and 8 guinea pigs! (3 today alone!). These are both animals that require large spaces to live and a plethora of special hay, feed, and fresh fruits and veggies.

We have taken in so many small animals in such a short time that we have had to totally revamp our rodent room and thanks to the generosity of our presidents Katrina and Jackie’s generous donations of $700 in supplies and new housing, everyone is living comfortably and happily. Our sanctuary program provides homeless animals a safe place to call their home.

Our amazing friends with Aspiring Hands come in 4 days a week and help us care for all of our sanctuary animals. Aspiring hands teaches special needs young adults job skills. They learn responsibility, compassion, and we give them a foundation in the animal care field. 2 of our hardest working employees originally started out as volunteers with this program!

We couldn't do this without our non profit friends, and we love our Aspiring Hands crew! Rich and his team are the backbone to our animals. We are eternally greatful for all they do. To learn more about them, please visit aspiringhands.com

We are in desperate need of several supplies as this has been quite a expensive endevour. If you would like to help please consider donating to us via our venmo or paypal. If you would like to purchase some things to take off the strain I will include a list of items we need on a weekly basis. Thank you all in advance.

Organic salad greens, preferably a spring mix, squash, strawberries, cucumber, alfalfa hay, oat hay, newspaper, fleece blankets, and guinea pig/rabbit treats
