Winnie, formerly Harley, is every bit of a handful (!!) but she is getting acclimated to our home and we are working hard to learn her cues. It took some time after we brought her home to get her to a ‘baseline,’ as she required treatment for giardia, a UTi and kennel cough. Now that she’s fully vaccinated and healthy, we are slowly but surely making progress on all things ‘puppy.’ She has started to go to doggy daycare to work on her socialization with other people and dogs, and most importantly, is doing great with our 3.5 year old son, who loves to get her out of her crate each morning, throw the ball for her, tell her to sit before giving her treats, and hug her and call her his “sweet girl.”
