Looping back with an update on Sid. His gotcha date was 04-16-23! He has settled in with his siblings, Opal (12yrs, a Maltipoo) & Casper (7 yrs, a Bichon, adopted 6 days after Sid, we had to have them both!) very well. He has made great strides in getting comfortable in his new world with us.  His former life was definitely not kind to him, so we continue to be very patient & give him all the grace he needs. You can tell he wants to let his guard down but just can’t quite resist the reflex to hesitate. He luuuuvs to ride in the car with his head out the window, breeze in his face… he loves going for walks & rough-housing with Opal, he has breathed new life into our little girl, she has great fun playing with Sid! He loves treats, as all puppos do! Dennis took Sid to a beginner class at PetSmart, he learned “touch” with his nose to get a treat & loose-leash walking- he’s the best walker of our three! He’s exceptionally gentle, affectionate & lovable. The companionship of pups has always been a blessing to us, but when you rescue, you can’t explain the joy it brings when you see the change in these pups as the days go by- seeing the change in Sid has brought joy, happiness & much laughter to our home. We can’t imagine life without our Sid.
